Astrid • Life Coach

Hello, I'm Astrid von Weittenhiller

I've been working as a life coach since 2010. Initially, mainly with people who didn't know exactly what they wanted. Then I worked for many years with an international institute, helping with all kinds of personal and professional topics people wanted to discuss.

I've since specialized. Today, I work almost exclusively with experienced solopreneurs. Women whose business is working. Who understand how their business runs and know what needs to be done.

And who still have the feeling that something doesn't fit anymore. Usually, they first notice that decisions are becoming more exhausting.

I'm convinced that these women don't need motivation or better self-management. They need conscious orientation.

Because the problem isn't that you're not trying hard enough or aren't disciplined enough. It's that your previous standards no longer fit.

You see more possibilities, more connections, and farther-reaching consequences. This makes decisions more complex and harder to assess.

When we work together, you'll quickly notice: I ask many questions that make you think. I state what I see without judgment. And I explain connections so you can understand yourself better.

I take responsibility for your clarity, you take responsibility for your decisions.
That's how I understand coaching as equals.

What clients say

I love the combination of razor-sharp intellect, zero tolerance for bullshit, great compassion, and lots of fun. That's your trademark to me.

Melanie

No matter what you bring to a session with Astrid, she meets you every time with openness, curiosity, and compassion.

Kerstin

I've always benefited from coaching with you. You led me down an unexpected path and completely turned my thinking upside down.

Marion

Astrid knows exactly what she's talking about. At the same time, she's patient and can explain complex things so I understand them.

Eva

My approach: Spacious Leadership

I developed my own term for how I work: Spacious Leadership.

The principle is simple. I explain connections so clearly that you understand yourself better. Even when it initially seems illogical. Sometimes that's already enough and the issue is resolved. Or you know afterward what the next logical step is for you.

And there's something else that sets me apart from many other coaches. I'm not a typical cheerleader. I rarely just encourage you, but I also don't believe every piece of nonsense you tell yourself.

The three pillars

My work is based on three principles:

Clarity

I say what I see. Not what that says about you or what you should do differently. I describe the situation without evaluating or interpreting it.

Orientation

I help you understand what this is really about. I explain the situation, I show possibilities, but not the one solution.

Space

I know that only you can say what's best for you. That's why I give you time and space to figure that out.

My journey as a Coach

I've been intensively involved with coaching since 2009. In 2010, I first completed a life coach training and then earned my business coach certification from the Chamber of Commerce. Back then, I mainly helped people figure out what they wanted.

Over the years, my focus has changed. Today, I work almost exclusively with experienced solopreneurs whose business is working, but who lack inner clarity.

What I've learned from the most diverse personalities has shaped my way of working.

My values

There are a few things that are important to me and that you'll find in my work.

Freedom, especially inner freedom, is my highest value. And the most important reason why I give you space to think. That's why the decision always stays in your hands. And that's why there's no hidden agenda with me and no secret attempt to push you in a particular direction.

Relationships are also important to me. For me, that means genuine exchange as equals. We're two people who want to understand together. Because that's what our collaboration is fundamentally about: Understanding what's going on.

And then there's my adventurous spirit. I'm curious and open. I like to try new approaches, even in my work. If something doesn't fit, we change direction. Through this openness and love of learning, my coaching always stays exciting.

Astrid in private

When I'm not working, I'm happiest being outdoors. Say hello if you see me. Don't be surprised if I'm singing to myself.

I just love walking. Whether it's sunshine or rain makes almost no difference. As long as I'm in nature. And if possible with a backpack and tent. I have so much fun when I can geek out about better equipment or plan a new tour.

A few more things about me: I left Stuttgart at 19. And even though I wasn't a soccer fan back then, I still root for → VfB (a local team from Stuttgart).

That's much easier with the Fanta 4 (a German hip-hop band). Fun fact: They were regulars at my favorite club back then, before they made it big. We don't know each other, but I remain → Troy.

I love fantasy, crime novels, and exciting thrillers. I used to LARP in castles and forests, living out fantastic stories. Today, I prefer to read. GNU Terry Pratchett!

How we work together

There are two ways to work with me. Both are for experienced solopreneurs, but they start at different points.

Deciding with Confidence is for you if you fundamentally want to understand what you're orienting yourself by. When decisions are becoming more exhausting and you don't know exactly why anymore. We'll clarify in six weeks what you're currently orienting yourself by and why that's no longer working clearly.

Maximum eight participants, weekly sessions.

Deciding in Action is for you if you have a specific decision you don't want to put off any longer. This isn't about fundamental orientation, but about this one, often complex situation. You make a conscious decision you can stand behind and implement it.

Ten weeks, weekly 45-minute sessions, just you and me.

If you're unsure which program fits you, let's talk about it. We'll clarify in conversation whether and how I can support you.

Have you already worked with me?
→ Just write to me. There's a format for everyone who wants to keep going.

Let's stay in touch: subscribe to "Post von Astrid"

Once a week, I write about what's on my mind. Usually it's about decisions, sometimes about things that are only loosely connected.

I talk about personal observations and experiences from my work with solopreneurs, share new articles, and occasionally give you updates about my offers.
